Qatar to hold funerals for victims of Israeli strike in Doha
Qatar announced that funerals will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, in Doha for those killed in an Israeli airstrike earlier this week that targeted Hamas officials in the Gulf state. The Ministry of Interior confirmed in a statement on X (formerly Twitter) that prayers will take place at the Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Wahhab Mosque, followed by burials at the Mesaimeer Cemetery. On Tuesday, Israel carried out strikes in Doha, the first-ever in the Gulf region, targeting Hamas leaders. While Hamas said its senior officials survived, five of its members were killed along with a Qatari security officer.
