The Federal Government has announced plans to evacuate over 742 Nigerians from South Africa before June 30, following renewed xenophobic attacks and rising anti-migrant sentiment in parts of the country. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the evacuation exercise is already underway, with the first batch of 258 Nigerians successfully airlifted from South Africa to Lagos as part of the voluntary repatriation scheme.
