Sabalenka storms into semis as Medvedev reaches Indian Wells last four amid controversy

World number one Aryna Sabalenka continued her dominant form at Indian Wells, reaching the semi finals with a straight sets win over Canadian teenager Victoria Mboko. Sabalenka prevailed 7–6(0), 6–4 in one hour and 51 minutes, but was pushed hard by the 19 year old 10th seed, who recently won the 2025 Canadian Open and is regarded as one of the brightest young talents on the WTA Tour. World number one Carlos Alcaraz reached his first Australian Open final after outlasting Alexander Zverev in a five set marathon that both men called one of the best battles of their careers. After the match, Zverev said he did not believe Alcaraz should have been allowed a medical timeout if the problem was only cramp, which is not normally treated as an […]

The win continued Sinner’s clear superiority over Shelton. He has now beaten the left hander in nine of their ten meetings, including their Australian Open semi final last year. On Rod Laver Arena, Sinner raced into a 4 1 lead in the opening set, pushing Shelton […]
