Abductions: Tinubu Orders 24-Hour Aerial Surveillance on Kwara, Kebbi, Niger Forest

President Bola Tinubu has directed a continuous 24-hour aerial security operation over forests in Kwara, Kebbi, and Niger States after a series of mass abductions and rising banditry. The Nigerian Air Force is to coordinate the aerial patrol with ground troops to deter kidnappers, track criminal movements, and enable faster rescue missions for victims. The move follows the recent abduction of more than 20 people—including women and children—in Isapa, Kwara. The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) has threatened to pull teachers from unsafe classrooms, demanding urgent government action to secure schools and rescue those in captivity.
