Deadly Russian strikes hit multiple Ukraine cities
At least seven people have been killed in overnight Russian strikes across Ukraine, including five in the central city of Dnipro, where an apartment building was hit, according to local officials. President Volodymyr Zelensky said the assault lasted “practically all night,” with emergency teams still searching for survivors beneath the rubble on Saturday morning. During the attack, British fighter jets were scrambled from Romania after Russian drones were detected near the border. However, the UK Ministry of Defence denied reports that the aircraft had shot any down. At the same time, Ukrainian forces carried out long-range drone strikes deep inside Russia. In Yekaterinburg, nearly 1,600 km from the Ukrainian border, six people were injured after a building was struck.
