Le président du Conseil, Faure Gnassingbé, a reçu vendredi à Lomé Christian Jové Ehrhardt, sous-secrétaire d’État adjoint au Bureau de la population, des réfugiés et des migrations des États-Unis, en visite de travail au Togo. Les discussions ont principalement porté sur le renforcement du partenariat entre Washington et Lomé. Cette coopération couvre plusieurs domaines stratégiques, notamment la sécurité, le développement et la stabilité régionale. Dans le domaine sécuritaire, les deux parties ont évoqué les actions menées dans la région des Savanes pour lutter contre le terrorisme. US deploys small military team to Nigeria

The United States has deployed a small military team to Nigeria to support the fight against Boko Haram, ISWAP and armed bandit groups in the north.​ General Dagvin R.M. Anderson, head of the US Africa Command (AFRICOM), confirmed the deployment during a briefing in Dakar. US delivers critical military assets to battle terrorists, bandits

Nigeria’s fight against terrorists and bandits has received a major boost with the delivery of critical military assets from the United States.
