I miss Super Eagles — Troost-Ekong
Former Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong has said he misses playing for Nigeria and expressed deep regret over the team missing the 2026 FIFA World Cup co-hosted by the US, Canada, and Mexico. In his retirement note from international football in December 2025, Troost-Ekong said: "This isn't a final goodbye. My work within the Nigerian communities continues, just as my love and passion for this team will never fade".
