Tinubu appoints Prof Shuaibu Aliyu PTDF chief
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Professor Shuaibu Shehu Aliyu as the new Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund. The appointment follows the resignation of the former head of the agency, Ahmed Galadima Aminu, who left to contest the 2027 governorship election in Adamawa State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress. A statement from the Presidency said Professor Aliyu’s appointment takes immediate effect. He is expected to provide strong leadership for the agency, which is responsible for building Nigerian capacity in the oil and gas sector through scholarships, training, research and technology development.
