A judge of the Federal High Court in Abuja has stopped journalists from covering the trial of six people accused of plotting a coup against the Nigerian government.Justice Joyce Abdulmalik ordered reporters to leave the courtroom on Monday as proceedings were about to begin in the high profile case. BREAKING: El Rufai arraigned in Abuja over alleged bugging of NSA Ribadu’s phone

Former Kaduna State governor Nasir El Rufai has been arraigned before a Federal High Court in Abuja over his alleged involvement in the unlawful bugging of the telephone line of National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu.​ El Rufai pleaded not guilty to a five count amended charge when it was read to him on Thursday morning before Justice Joyce Abdulmalik. Court grants Nigerian crypto businessman Blord bail

Celebrity Nigerian cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, has been granted bail after spending weeks in Kuje prison. He was detained over an alleged impersonation of social media commentator Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan.​ The development was announced by activist and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore in a post on his official Facebook page on Friday.​ According to Sowore, the Federal High Court in Abuja granted Blord bail on self recognizance following his arraignment. The court, however, attached conditions to the bail.​ Sowore stated that the judge ordered Blord to deposit his international passport with the court as part of the bail terms.​ Blord had earlier been remanded in Kuje prison on April 1, pending further proceedings in the case.

Court Vacates Arrest Warrant Against PDP Factional Chairman Kabiru Turaki

An Abuja High Court has vacated the bench warrant it earlier issued for the arrest of factional Peoples Democratic Party national chairman, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki (SAN). The bench warrant had been granted after Turaki failed to appear for arraignment on a one count charge of allegedly giving false information to the police. The charge stems from a petition he wrote in 2022 as a private citizen, accusing certain persons of wrongdoing. The Inspector General of Police later filed a case against him, alleging that the information in the petition was false. A Federal High Court in Abuja has warned detained IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu that he could lose his right to defend himself if he fails to open his case at the next hearing. FG to arraign two captured Ansaru commanders in Abuja court

The Federal Government will on Thursday arraign two top commanders of the Ansaru terrorist group, an Al-Qaeda-linked network, at the Federal High Court, Abuja. The suspects are Mahmud Muhammed Usman (aka Abu Bara’a/Abbas Mukhtar) and his deputy Abubakar Abba (aka Isah Adam/Mahmud Al-Nigeri), popularly known as Mallam Mamuda.
