Tinubu to opposition: Elections not won on social media

President Bola Tinubu has told opposition figures and party supporters that elections are decided by voters in communities, not by debates on social media. Court sets March 24 ruling on suit to deregister ADC, Accord, others

A Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed March 24 for its ruling on a suit seeking to compel the Independent National Electoral Commission to deregister four political parties over alleged failure to meet constitutional requirements.​ The case, marked FHC/ABJ/CS/2637/25, was filed by the Incorporated Trustees of the National Forum of Former Legislators, with INEC, the Attorney-General of the Federation, the African Democratic Congress, Accord Party, Zenith Labour Party and Action Alliance listed as defendants. INEC fixes February 20, 2027 for presidential poll

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed February 20, 2027, for Nigeria’s presidential and National Assembly elections. The Commission said the date is in line with constitutional and Electoral Act provisions that require election notices to be issued at least 360 days before voting. ACF warns of rising insecurity and poverty in North

The Arewa Consultative Forum has raised fresh alarm over worsening insecurity, deepening poverty and growing humanitarian crises across Northern Nigeria.
