UEFA opens investigation into alleged racial abuse of Vinicius Junior

UEFA has launched a formal investigation into alleged racial abuse directed at Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior during their Champions League knockout playoff clash against Benfica in Lisbon. Ukrainian officials will boycott next month’s Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Paralympic Games after the International Paralympic Committee approved the participation of a small group of Russian and Belarusian athletes under their national flags.
