Former Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo visited ex-Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, at his Lagos residence in anticipation of Fayose’s 65th birthday, which is scheduled for November 15, 2025.
During the visit, Osinbajo described Fayose as “a resilient and steadfast Nigerian who doggedly pursues whatever he believes in.” He expressed his congratulations ahead of the public celebration, noting that he wouldn’t be available on the actual birthday.
Both leaders exchanged warm greetings and reflected on national issues, with Osinbajo commending Fayose’s courage and consistency in Nigerian public life. Fayose appreciated the friendly gesture, describing the visit as a mark of respect and friendship that crosses political boundaries.

Ban on sale of sachet alcoholic drinks remains – NAFDAC
NAFDAC says the crackdown on manufacturers and distributors of sachet alcohol has already begun, with arrests and seizures recorded across the South East zone. The NAFDAC Zonal Director, South East, Dr Festus Ukadike, disclosed this in an interview in Enugu, adding that the next phase is to mop up remaining sachet alcoholic products still in the market. NANS seeks probe of alleged crisis at Osun Poly
The National Association of Nigerian Students has called for an independent investigation into the alleged administrative crisis at Osun State Polytechnic, Iree. The student body said the situation at the institution is affecting academic performance and student welfare. UK officers investigated over dying teen’s arrest
Two police officers in the UK are under investigation for possible gross misconduct following the death of 18-year-old Henry Nowak, who was handcuffed and arrested while suffering from fatal stab wounds. The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) announced the investigation after reviewing the officers' actions at the scene. Henry Nowak was stabbed to death in December 2025 by Vickrum Digwa, who used a large blade he claimed to carry because of his Sikh faith.
