Prepared food and drinks went unused as attendees left the venue in shock. The deceased's family has transported the body to the Oda Government Hospital morgue for an autopsy. The community remains in mourning, with festive activities subdued due to the tragedy.

WAEC Releases 2024 WASSCE Results: Over 4,000 Subject Results Canceled.

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the provisional results for the 2024 WASSCE for School Candidates. Out of the 460,611 students who registered for the exams, some irregularities were reported, leading to actions by WAEC:Subject results for 4,108 candidates were canceled due to bringing unauthorized materials like notes and textbooks into the exam hall.Entire results of 483 candidates were canceled for using mobile phones.Subject results of 781 candidates and the full results of 209 candidates were withheld for further investigations.WAEC has cautioned stakeholders to beware of fraudsters offering to alter results. The results can be accessed online at www.waecgh.org using WAEC’s results verification system.
