Traoré’s Footsteps: Ghana Tells Foreign Miners to Leave

Road Safety Authority gives Assemblies 21 days to remove unauthorised billboards in Accra

The Acting Director-General of the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA), Mr Abraham Amaliba, has given municipal and district assemblies in the Greater Accra region a 21-day ultimatum to remove unauthorised billboards that pose risks to motorists and pedestrians. Mr Amaliba issued the directive during an interview with Citi FM on Wednesday, April 30, citing the increasing number of unregulated billboards—particularly those erected on road medians and near intersections—as a serious safety concern. According to him, many of these structures obstruct drivers’ views and serve as dangerous distractions. “I have written to the municipal and district assemblies in the Greater Accra Region. BoG stirs Crypto appetite — Industry players hail move

The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has stirred the appetite for its foray into the cryptocurrency market with the expected launch of a regulatory framework for Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) and virtual currencies in September. Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Johnson Asiama, said in an interview with the Graphic Business that the central bank was finalising the regulatory framework subject to the conclusion of internal processes and stakeholder consultations.
