Audit Uncovers GH¢8.2m Payout to Former NSA Boss

A forensic audit of the National Service Authority (NSA) has uncovered shocking revelations involving its former Director-General, Osei Assibey Antwi. Findings seen exclusively by The Fourth Estate indicate that while serving as Director-General, Mr. Assibey Antwi was also registered and posted as a volunteer within the NSA during the 2022/2023 service year. Auditors discovered that he was assigned an EZWICH card (No. 1177042059) and posted to the Greater Accra Region. Ghana in Talks to Send Nurses Abroad to Ease Job Backlog

The Minister of Health has announced that government is in negotiations with thirteen countries to employ Ghanaian nurses and midwives abroad. This move is part of efforts to reduce the growing backlog of unemployed health professionals in the country. The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) has issued a strong warning to the public about a rising wave of scams involving fake business listings on Google Maps and Google Search. According to the CSA, cybercriminals are impersonating well-known brands such as Pizza Hut, Pizzaman/Chickenman, Hisense, Bel Aqua, Papaye, and Burger King by creating fraudulent business profiles online. These fake listings often include misleading phone numbers, emails, and websites. Youth Minister Warns of Drug Abuse Crisis in Universities

The Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, George Opare Addo, has raised serious concerns over the growing rate of drug abuse among students in universities and colleges across Ghana. Ghana Water Ltd. Shuts Down Kpong Plant for Repairs

Ghana Water Ltd. (GWL) has announced the temporary shutdown of the Kpong Treatment Plant following damage to its raw water transmission pipeline on Thursday, August 28, 2025.
