Ghana Launches Nationwide Monitoring for 100th LEAP Payment Cycle
The Government of Ghana, through the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP), has rolled out a nationwide monitoring exercise to supervise the 100th payment cycle of the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) programme. The exercise, which began last week, is taking place across all 16 regions to confirm that cash transfers are reaching the right beneficiaries without delays or irregularities. Strengthening Transparency and Service Delivery Monitoring teams drawn from the Ministry and partner institutions are visiting selected payment centres nationwide. Their role is to oversee the disbursement process, engage directly with beneficiaries, and gather first-hand feedback on how the payments are being handled.
