President Tinubu’s Personal Tribute to a National Icon
President Bola Tinubu delivered an emotional eulogy during his Friday condolence visit to the family of late business magnate Alhaji Aminu Dantata in Kano, describing the departed as “Nigeria’s conscience” and “a model of selfless service.”
The 94-year-old industrialist passed away in Dubai on June 28, 2025, and was laid to rest in Medina, Saudi Arabia on July 1.

“This is deeply personal. He wasn’t just a national figure – he was family. During my campaign, I sought his prayers. He blessed me but remained characteristically humble, later visiting me in Abuja instead.”

Three Rescued as Rescue Teams Search for Trapped Victims After North Industrial Area Building Collapse
Rescue teams are continuing efforts to locate and extract individuals believed to be trapped beneath the rubble of a collapsed building in Accra’s North Industrial Area following a structural failure that has left several people injured. The Presidency has disowned a purported appointment letter circulating in the name of a so called Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, describing both the council and the alleged appointment as fake. A combined team of the Department of State Services and the Nigerian military has foiled a major plot to kidnap students sitting for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination in the South East.
