President Tinubu’s Personal Tribute to a National Icon
President Bola Tinubu delivered an emotional eulogy during his Friday condolence visit to the family of late business magnate Alhaji Aminu Dantata in Kano, describing the departed as “Nigeria’s conscience” and “a model of selfless service.”
The 94-year-old industrialist passed away in Dubai on June 28, 2025, and was laid to rest in Medina, Saudi Arabia on July 1.

In a moving address, President Tinubu revealed his personal connection to the late elder statesman:
“This is deeply personal. He wasn’t just a national figure – he was family. During my campaign, I sought his prayers. He blessed me but remained characteristically humble, later visiting me in Abuja instead.”
