Zoomlion Unveils Game-Changing 400-Ton Recycling Plant in North East Region.
In a groundbreaking initiative for environmental sustainability, the Jospong Group of Companies (JGC), in collaboration with the Government of Ghana, has launched a 400-ton-per-day Integrated Recycling and Compost Plant (IRECOP) in Nalerigu. This state-of-the-art facility will play a key role in Northern Ghana's waste management, transforming mixed waste into recyclable materials and organic compost, benefiting local agriculture.At the commissioning, Naa Bohagu Mahami Sheriga, speaking on behalf of the Nayire, hailed the plant as a lifeline for the region. He encouraged its maintenance to ensure long-term success, while Ghana's Deputy Minister of Sanitation, Hon. Amidu Chinnia Issahaku, praised the project for aligning with the government's goals of modernizing waste management.With additional plans for a 400-ton medical waste facility, this project is set to handle the bulk of waste in the region and provide 600 jobs, promoting sustainability and economic growth.
