Maxwell Nana Yaw Palasco Boakye Becomes Youngest Council of State Member
Maxwell Nana Yaw Palasco Boakye has made history as the youngest person to be sworn in as a member of Ghana’s Council of State. President John Dramani Mahama officially inducted him and 30 others into the advisory body on February 18, 2025.Boakye, who represents the Western Region, is the CEO of Max Palasco Group of Companies and a philanthropist. He also serves on the board of Medeama Sporting Club. In 2024, he was honored for his contributions to society at the Floodlight Media Excellence Awards.His philanthropy includes donating an incubator and medical equipment to the Asankrangwa Catholic Hospital, marking the first time in 70 years that the facility received such equipment.Social media users celebrated his appointment, with many praising him as a symbol of youth empowerment in Ghana’s governance.
