Why I almost quit music, by Superboy Cheque
Nigerian singer and rapper Superboy Cheque has revealed that he once considered quitting music at the height of his struggles with severe acne and low self esteem. Speaking in a recent interview, the Penthauze act said his skin condition affected his confidence so badly that he became extremely insecure about appearing in public or shooting music videos. Cheque explained that the breakout on his face made him feel unattractive and held him back from fully embracing fame, to the point that he thought about abandoning his music dreams altogether. He said treatment and gradual healing of his acne, alongside the support of close friends and colleagues who believed in his talent, helped him regain confidence and stay focused on his career.
