Ghanaian Songstress Afua Asantewaa Embarks on Guinness World Record Singing Marathon.
Afua Asantewaa O. Aduonum has kicked off her second attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon by an individual. Beginning at dawn on December 21, 2024, at Heroes' Park, Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, the singer aims to sing non-stop until December 25. She will exclusively perform Ghanaian songs to celebrate the country’s musical heritage on a global stage.Her team, led by manager Gladys Osei Owiredu, is confident in her preparation despite challenges. This attempt follows her previous one in December 2023, which fell short of surpassing India’s Sunil Waghmare’s 105-hour record.Supported by sponsors like International Maritime Hospital, Ghana Gas, Nasco Electronics, and Zoomlion Ghana Limited, Afua's Singathon has captured the nation's attention, with many rooting for her success.
