FG Disburses N12bn to 9,648 Beneficiaries via Community Revolving Fund to Boost Agriculture, Combat Climate Change

Nigeria’s Community Revolving Fund: N12bn Disbursed to Empower Farmers, Restore Land The Federal Government, through the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) project, has disbursed N12 billion to 9,648 beneficiaries across 15 states to strengthen agricultural value chains and combat climate change. Environment Minister Balarabe Lawal announced this milestone at the 2025 ministerial press briefing, highlighting the project’s transformative impact on rural communities. Key Achievements of ACReSAL Land Restoration: 178,235 hectares of degraded land revitalized across 19 Northern states and the FCT. Financial Inclusion: N12bn disbursed via the Community Revolving Fund to 345 communities, supporting 5,397 men and 4,251 women in farming, processing, and marketing. Equipment Distribution: 245 tractors and 1,450 power tillers for 56,873 farmers. Drought-resistant seedlings, solar irrigation pumps, and organic fertilizers distributed in Sokoto, Benue, Kano, and 9 other states.
