U.S. Donates Vehicles to Strengthen Health Services in Western and Ahafo Regions.
The U.S. Government, through USAID, has donated three 2024 double-cabin Nissan Navara pickups to the Ghana Health Service. These vehicles will be used in the Western, Western North, and Ahafo Regional Health Directorates to help improve healthcare delivery in remote areas.The donation is part of the ongoing USAID Care Continuum Project, which aims to enhance primary healthcare in 29 districts across these regions. The vehicles will allow healthcare staff to provide better oversight and deliver essential medical supplies to underserved communities.Dr. Stephen Dzisi, Acting Health Office Director at USAID/Ghana, emphasized the U.S. commitment to strengthening Ghana’s health system, noting that the donation reflects efforts to improve healthcare access and services.
