Trump warns Iran over protest deaths as unrest spreads
U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that the United States is “locked and loaded” and ready to intervene if Iranian security forces violently kill protesters during the latest wave of anti government demonstrations.In a statement and social media posts, he said Washington would “come to the rescue” of peaceful protesters if Iran follows what he called its “custom” of shooting people to crush dissent.
