Savannah Guthrie begs kidnappers to prove mom is alive
US television anchor Savannah Guthrie has tearfully pleaded with her mother’s kidnappers to provide clear proof that the 84 year old is still alive. In an emotional video posted on social media, the 54 year old Today show co host said her family needs to be sure her mother, Nancy Guthrie, is in their custody and unharmed. She warned that voices and images can be easily manipulated and asked the kidnappers to send undeniable evidence. Surrounded by relatives, she addressed the abductors directly, saying the family is ready to listen and wants to work with them to secure Nancy’s safe return.
