China urges US to immediately free captured Venezuelan president Maduro
China has called on the United States to immediately release Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife after U.S. forces seized and flew them out of Venezuela in a large scale operation announced by President Donald Trump.A Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said Beijing is gravely concerned and described the move as a clear violation of international law, basic norms of international relations and the principles of the UN Charter.
