One dead, two injured in Dallas ICE facility shooting

A deadly shooting occurred Wednesday at a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention facility in Dallas, Texas, leaving one person dead and two others injured, according to officials. The suspected gunman, positioned on the roof of a nearby building, opened fire on the facility before dying from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Dallas police confirmed in a post on X (formerly Twitter). Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem condemned the attack, saying:“While we don’t know the motive yet, we know that our ICE law enforcement is facing unprecedented violence.
