Lagos Task Force Clears Street Traders in Victoria Island
The Lagos State enforcement team has cleared illegal street traders from Bishop Oluwole Street in Victoria Island as part of its ongoing campaign to restore order in the city. Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, announced the operation in a post on the ministry’s official X handle on Monday. He said the exercise was aimed at ensuring smooth vehicular and pedestrian movement while preserving the city’s environmental and aesthetic standards. “Our enforcement teams have just completed a successful dislodgement operation against illegal street traders on Bishop Oluwole Street in Victoria Island.
