Mavo: I’m saving my best songs for the right time
Fast rising Nigerian Afrobeats act Marvin Oseremen Ukanigbe, popularly known as Mavo, says he is deliberately holding back many of his best songs until what he believes will be the right time to release them. The 23 year old singer, who has already worked with heavyweights like Wizkid, CKay and Davido, revealed in a recent interview that he has a large catalogue of unreleased music dating back to 2022 and 2023. “I feel like I’m so blessed, so it’s not something to be surprised about, but I have a lot of songs I haven’t put out,” he said, noting that he does not think he has released up to his “top 50” tracks yet.
