Togo and Austria Sign Migration Agreement to Boost Youth Employment
New York, September 2025 – Togo and Austria have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote safe and regulated migration, with a focus on youth employment and entrepreneurship. The agreement was concluded on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly by Togolese Foreign Minister Robert Dussey and his Austrian counterpart Beate Meinl-Reisinger. Structured mobility The MoU seeks to organize professional, academic, and circular migration, ensuring that movements between the two countries are safe, legal, and mutually beneficial. Authorities say the deal will also help curb irregular migration while providing secure pathways for workers and students.
