North Korea says shameless US is making a mockery of UN
North Korea has accused the United States of abusing the United Nations and trying to turn it into a tool for its own interests. Pyongyang called US actions “shameless” and said Washington was making a mockery of the UN through its behaviour. In a statement from its mission to the UN in New York, North Korea condemned reported US plans to hold a briefing on alleged North Korean violations of UN sanctions. It said the real issue the UN should focus on is what it described as a “hideous criminal act” by the United States, without giving details.
