Lookman shines as Sorloth hat trick sends Atletico into last 16
Ademola Lookman came off the bench to provide a key assist as Atletico Madrid beat Club Brugge to reach the UEFA Champions League Round of 16. The Spanish side will now face either Liverpool or Tottenham Hotspur in the knockout stage. The night belonged to Alexander Sorloth, who scored a clinical hat trick to lead Atletico to a 4-1 win at the Metropolitano and a 7-4 aggregate victory. Brugge made a fast start and almost went ahead when Hugo Vetlesen was denied by a last ditch block from David Hancko. Atletico responded when goalkeeper Jan Oblak launched a long pass that Sorloth controlled before holding off his marker and hitting a shot that Simon Mignolet could not keep out.
