Nigerian singer Qdot has revisited the armed robbery at his Lagos home in a new single titled ‘28 of Sept’, describing how the attack left him traumatised months after it happened. New data reveals 2,496 students abducted in 92 school attacks across Nigeria since the Chibok tragedy in 2014. Recent mass kidnappings in Niger and Kebbi states have reignited concerns about student safety, with abductions now a source of ransom income for criminal groups and a cause for widespread fear and trauma. Analysis shows nearly 70 attacks on schools from 2014–2022, with over 1,680 students taken by the end of that period. An additional 22 attacks and 816 students kidnapped occurred from January 2023 to November 2025.
