Police Announce Roadblocks and Traffic Diversions for Accra Special Operation.
The Ghana Police Service has rolled out roadblocks and diversions in Accra as part of a special security operation from September 21 to 24, 2024. The operation is aimed at boosting security and improving traffic management in key areas of the city.In a statement by Assistant Commissioner of Police Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Director of Public Affairs, the affected routes are as follows:Traffic from the Central Business District to Independence Avenue via Liberation Road will be blocked at the AU Roundabout.Vehicles from the AU Roundabout will be redirected to Castle Road, leading to Ridge Roundabout, Kanda Highway, and Kawukudi’s Gold House Traffic Light.
