GTA CEO Akwasi Agyeman Resigns After 8 Years of Service.
Akwasi Agyeman, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), has officially stepped down from his role after leading the organization since January 2017.During his tenure, Mr. Agyeman achieved remarkable milestones, steering the GTA through the COVID-19 pandemic and championing its recovery. Under his leadership, international tourist arrivals grew from 355,108 in 2020 to over 1.1 million by 2023, surpassing pre-pandemic levels.
