Tinubu gov’t desperate after Japan visa denial

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused President Bola Tinubu’s administration of spreading misleading information after Japan denied creating a special visa category for Nigerians. Japan’s foreign ministry clarified on Monday that it had no plans to introduce visas specifically for Nigerians or any African nationals. The statement read:“There are no plans to promote the acceptance of immigrants or issue special visas for residents of African countries. Reports suggesting otherwise are not true.” This directly contradicted an earlier announcement by Abiodun Oladunjoye, Director of Information at the State House.
