Oscar winning ‘Godfather’ star Robert Duvall dies at 95
Oscar winning American actor Robert Duvall, famous for roles in The Godfather and Apocalypse Now, has died at the age of 95. His wife, Luciana Duvall, said he passed away peacefully on Sunday at their home in Middleburg, Virginia. Duvall’s career spanned more than six decades, during which he appeared in nearly 100 films and TV projects. He received seven Academy Award nominations, winning best actor for his performance as washed up country singer Mac Sledge in the 1983 drama Tender Mercies. He is widely remembered for playing Tom Hagen, the calm but steely consigliere to the Corleone family in The Godfather and The Godfather Part II.
