Tricycle Riders Linked to Rise In Teen Pregnancies in Central Region.
A study by the Central Region Office of the National Youth Authority (NYA) has revealed that tricycle and motorcycle riders are key contributors to rising cases of teen pregnancy, child marriage, and sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in the region. The research highlighted a growing concern over the increase in sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in the area as well.Mrs. Anita Nana Seguah Ansah, the Central Regional Director of the NYA, shared these findings during a one-day training workshop aimed at educating tricycle and motorcycle riders about the harmful effects of these issues.
