Atiwa East MP Celebrates Teachers with Cash and Prizes.
Abena Osei-Asare, MP for Atiwa East, has honored 41 hardworking and retired teachers in her constituency as part of her newly established Teachers’ Awards. Winners received cash prizes, motorbikes, TVs, and fridges for their dedication and impact in both public and private schools.Fauzia Nuhu of Moseaso Presby Basic School was crowned overall best teacher, taking home GH₵10,000, a refrigerator, and a 50-inch TV. Other awardees received GH₵5,000 each alongside other items. Categories included Best JHS Teacher, Best Primary Teacher, and Teacher at Deprived Areas.Speaking at the ceremony, Osei-Asare reaffirmed her commitment to education and encouraged teachers to embrace lifelong learning. The Eastern Regional Education Director, Dr. Ivy Owusu Asante, and other stakeholders also urged teachers to nurture students for 21st-century challenges.
