Troops arrest 65‑year‑old woman over drugs for Boko Haram

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested a 65‑year‑old woman, Hauwa Abulazeez, for allegedly supplying cannabis sativa to Boko Haram terrorists in parts of Borno State. She was picked up in Askira Uba Local Government Area during Operation Desert Sanity V.​ Military spokesman Lt Col Sani Uba said Hauwa is suspected to be a key conduit, distributing cannabis to Boko Haram elements operating around Askira Uba, Rumirgo, Gwahi, Wamdiyo, Uvu and Gaya, as well as several nearby communities. Troops Destroy Bandits’ Camp, Arrest Seven Suspected Cultists in Benue

The Nigerian Army has intensified operations across the North-Central region, destroying a major bandits’ camp in Taraba State and arresting seven suspected cultists in Benue in coordinated offensives under Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS). According to a statement released on Saturday by Lieutenant Umar Muhammad, Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, troops of 6 Brigade, Jalingo, carried out a large-scale clearance operation around border villages in Takum Local Government Area on Friday.
