Troops arrest 65‑year‑old woman over drugs for Boko Haram
Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested a 65‑year‑old woman, Hauwa Abulazeez, for allegedly supplying cannabis sativa to Boko Haram terrorists in parts of Borno State. She was picked up in Askira Uba Local Government Area during Operation Desert Sanity V. Military spokesman Lt Col Sani Uba said Hauwa is suspected to be a key conduit, distributing cannabis to Boko Haram elements operating around Askira Uba, Rumirgo, Gwahi, Wamdiyo, Uvu and Gaya, as well as several nearby communities. Preliminary investigations indicate she sourced the drugs from Sardauna (Sarti Baruwa) LGA in Taraba State and moved them along established supply routes.
