Super Eagles Reclaim Top 5 Spot in Africa in New FIFA Rankings

Nigeria's Super Eagles have climbed back into the top five of African football, according to the latest FIFA World Rankings. The team rose four places globally, moving from 45th to 41st in the world. This jump also pushed them to the 5th position in Africa. This positive move is a result of the team's back-to-back victories in recent international matches, which earned them 11.6 ranking points. The top four African teams remain unchanged: Morocco (12th globally), Senegal (18th), Egypt (32nd), and Algeria (35th). Other strong African sides include Côte d’Ivoire (42nd) and Tunisia (43rd). Globally, Spain has taken the number one spot from Argentina, with France, England, and Portugal completing the top five.
