NAF boosts civil military relations in Akwa Ibom with school project

The Nigerian Air Force has launched a new school project in Akwa Ibom State as part of efforts to strengthen civil military relations and support local development. The project, sited at Edemaya Unity College in Ikot Abasi Local Government Area, was delivered under the Chief of the Air Staff Special Intervention Project.​ The new block consists of three classrooms, a principal’s office and staff rooms built in honour of retired Air Vice Marshal Iboro Harry Etukudo, who hails from the area. US delivers critical military assets to battle terrorists, bandits

Nigeria’s fight against terrorists and bandits has received a major boost with the delivery of critical military assets from the United States. US Africa Command said the equipment was handed over in Abuja to support ongoing security operations against terrorists and other non state armed groups.​ AFRICOM described the shipment as “critical military supplies” but did not disclose the specific platforms or weapons involved. The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has directed Nigerian Air Force (NAF) commanders to intensify precision operations and adopt smarter tactics in ongoing military campaigns across the country. President Bola Tinubu has charged Nigeria’s newly appointed service chiefs to deliver concrete results in the fight against insecurity, stressing that excuses will no longer be tolerated.
