PAC Orders Arrest of Ex-Energy Staff Over GH₵120k Bond
The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament has directed the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition to collaborate with the Foreign Affairs Ministry and the police to arrest Ms. Yaa Serwaa Gyan, a former staff member who allegedly absconded after benefitting from a fully paid study leave worth over GH₵120,000. According to the Auditor-General’s report, Ms. Gyan failed to return to serve her bond term despite receiving the sponsorship, leaving her post vacant. The report revealed that Ms. Gyan had been granted a study leave with pay, with the binding agreement that she would resume work upon completion of her studies.
