Zambian Delegation to Study Ghana’s Students Loan Trust Fund.
A Zambian delegation has arrived in Ghana to examine and learn from the operations of the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF), a scheme that has played a significant role in supporting Ghanaian students financially. The delegation, led by officials from Zambia’s Ministry of Education, seeks to understand how the SLTF is managed, its funding model, loan recovery mechanisms, and how it contributes to improving access to higher education.The Zambians expressed interest in replicating a similar student loan system back home to enhance opportunities for higher education financing. During their visit, they will engage with SLTF management and officials from the Ministry of Education in Ghana to discuss policies and strategies used to ensure the sustainability of the fund.
