JAMB suspends exam town selection for 2026 UTME candidates in Ekiti

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has temporarily suspended the selection of examination towns for 2026 UTME candidates registering in Ekiti State. JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, said the pause is to allow the board restructure exam town locations to bring centres closer to candidates and reduce transport challenges on exam days. He explained that the 2026 registration commenced before structural anomalies were detected in the configuration of examination towns in Ekiti. Eight UNIJOS students die in Jos road crash

Eight students of the University of Jos have died in a road crash involving a trailer and a bus on Zaria Road in Jos, Plateau State. The accident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, opposite Unity Bank, when a bus conveying the students collided with a trailer.​ Eyewitnesses said 11 people were on board the bus.
