Ibrahim Mahama Gifts 35-Seater Bus to TAMASCO, Boosts School’s Infrastructure.

Ibrahim Mahama, CEO of Engineers & Planners Ltd and Dzata Cement Ltd, has donated a brand-new 35-seater bus to his alma mater, Tamale Senior High School (TAMASCO), in an effort to ease transportation challenges for students, especially the school's National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) team. The donation, made on behalf of Mr. Mahama by his Special Aide, Rafik Mahama, was presented during a student durbar at the school's campus in Tamale.In addition to the bus, the school’s Headmaster expressed gratitude for the continuous support, noting that Mr. Mahama is also funding the construction of a 1,200-bed ultra-modern dormitory. This new dormitory, 90% complete, will address accommodation issues at the school. Initially designed for 700 beds, the capacity was expanded based on expert advice. The project is expected to be completed soon, further enhancing the school's facilities.

90% of SHS Placement Issues Resolved by Ministry of Education Resolution Centre.

The Ministry of Education's Resolution Centre has successfully resolved 90% of cases related to this year’s Senior High School (SHS) placement issues, according to Nana Afrah Sika Mensah, Deputy Coordinator of the Free SHS Secretariat. Established at the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) Hall in Accra, the center has assisted numerous students and parents with concerns including self-placement, school changes, and status adjustments between day and boarding. Personnel from the Free SHS Secretariat have been working tirelessly, even over the weekend, to ensure all complaints are addressed, providing a significant relief to parents and students who faced difficulties with placements. With a police presence to maintain order, the centre continues to assure parents that every candidate will be accommodated.
