Suspect Remanded Over KNUST Student’s Tragic Death
The Kumasi Circuit Court has remanded Daniel Tuffour, the prime suspect in the death of 21-year-old Deladem Aku Yabane, a final-year Biological Science student at KNUST.Deladem's lifeless body was discovered near the university’s Disability and Rehabilitation Centre last Thursday. She was quickly transported to the University Health Services, where she was pronounced dead.Police investigations revealed marks of violence on her body, leading to Tuffour’s arrest later that day. The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, has assured Deladem’s family of a thorough investigation and justice for the victim.The IGP has also met with KNUST authorities to discuss improved security measures on campus. The police have urged anyone with information about the case to assist in the ongoing investigation.
