UCC Alumni Light Up Campus with Solar Streetlights.
A group of alumni from the University of Cape Coast (UCC), known as the UCC Brethren Alumni Club, has donated and installed 10 solar-powered streetlights along the Technology Village Avenue, spanning from the SRC hostels to the lecture halls. The initiative, valued at over GH¢120,000, aims to improve safety on campus, especially at night.The alumni group commissioned the project during a visit, which also included a mentorship seminar, "Up-Close Alumni," to guide students on career readiness and workplace skills. Speakers like Dr. Kwamena Minta Nyarko, MP for Cape Coast North, and CEOs Kweku Frempong and Sebastian Kleman Asem, shared insights on essential topics such as trust, attitude, and marketable skills.The acting Director of Academic Affairs, Dr. Atta Yeboah-Sarpong, received the donation on behalf of the university and expressed gratitude, calling on other alumni to emulate this act of giving back.
