Tinubu and wife begin historic UK state visit

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on Tuesday depart Abuja for a historic state visit to the United Kingdom at the invitation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.​ He will be accompanied by First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, with the British monarch scheduled to host the Nigerian leader and his wife at Windsor Castle from Wednesday, March 18 to Thursday, March 19, 2026. Nigerian community leader Magbo welcomes Tinubu to Turkey

President of the Nigerian community in Turkey, Prince Magbo, has welcomed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his delegation to the country, describing the state visit as a moment of excitement for Nigerians living there. He said the diaspora community is “honoured and fully prepared” to receive the president and wishes him a peaceful and productive stay as he pursues international cooperation that will benefit Nigeria and deepen ties with Turkey.​ Magbo expressed optimism that the visit would further strengthen bilateral relations between Nigeria and Turkey in economic, diplomatic and strategic areas.
