Togo : les dégradations de lampadaires désormais sanctionnées

À Lomé comme dans plusieurs villes de l’intérieur, de nombreux lampadaires sont régulièrement endommagés lors d’accidents, plongeant certains axes dans l’obscurité et exposant les usagers à plus de risques. Pour y remédier, le gouvernement a lancé une vaste opération de remise en état des installations d’éclairage public. Les travaux se concentrent notamment sur le grand contournement de Lomé, le boulevard Jean-Paul II et la route nationale RN34 reliant Lomé à Vogan et Anfoin. Nouvelle règle désormais en vigueur : toute personne responsable de la destruction d’un lampadaire ou d’un ouvrage public devra couvrir les frais de réparation, directement ou via son assurance. China has strongly criticised U.S. President Donald Trump’s executive order creating a new blacklist for countries accused of unjustly detaining Americans, warning that the move could seriously strain ties between Beijing and Washington. The order, signed on Friday, empowers the U.S. to designate states as “sponsors of wrongful detention,” a label modeled after the designation of state sponsors of terrorism.
